My Story

Hi, I’m Nicholas “Nick” Flickinger, owner of 💡 Light of the 🌎 World Electric ⚡.

I believe inviting someone into your home is a big deal. You’re trusting them with your family’s safety, your property, and your hard-earned money. I never take that responsibility lightly.

I’m a husband, an Army veteran, a Christian, and a Journeyman Electrician with more than 20 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on everything from simple residential repairs to large commercial and industrial projects. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects involving companies such as Tesla, Google, Meta (Facebook), Amazon, Stanford University, and many others.

I’ve performed electrical work throughout Florida, Georgia, California, Washington, Wisconsin, and even Afghanistan while serving in the United States Army as an Interior Electrician. My military service taught me integrity, discipline, attention to detail, and the importance of doing the job right the first time. Those same values guide my business today.

The name 💡 Light of the 🌎 World Electric ⚡ comes from John 8:12, where JESUS said:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

That verse has always been the foundation of my business. My faith influences the way I treat people, the honesty I bring to every job, and the commitment I have to serving every customer with integrity.

One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that I’m not a salesman. If something doesn’t need to be replaced, I’ll tell you. If there’s a safe and affordable repair option, I’ll explain it. I’ve always believed, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” My goal is to educate my customers so they can make informed decisions without pressure.

I also believe that professionalism means showing up prepared. My truck is organized, fully stocked, and equipped with professional-grade tools and modern technology so I can solve problems efficiently and provide quality workmanship.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed to serve more than 1,500 homeowners and businesses throughout North Central Florida. Whether

I’m replacing a service panel, troubleshooting a difficult electrical problem, wiring a new shop, or simply replacing a switch or outlet, I approach every project as if I were working on my own home.

Success isn’t measured by how many jobs I complete. It’s measured by how many customers trust me enough to call again, recommend me to family and friends, and know they received honest advice, fair pricing, and quality workmanship.

My goal isn’t simply to complete another electrical job. My goal is to become your electrician for many years to come.
